When thinking about a new bath enclosure, consider the following:

What color glass do you sell?
There are two very common colored glass used for shower enclosures.  The least expensive is clear glass and the other is low iron glass also known as ultra clear.
Clear Glass:
  • Although the glass is clear, it has a greenish tint to it.  This is caused by the iron content in the glass.
  • The thicker the glass, the darker green the edge of the glass is.
Low Iron Glass:
  • Low iron glass, also known as Ultra Clear, does not have a color tint when looking through the glass.  The iron content in the glass is less than clear glass.
  • There is a slight bluish tint on the edge of the glass depending on the thickness of the glass.
  • Low iron glass is also known as Starphire, Optiwhite, Clearvision and Ultra Clear.

Why does the color glass matter?

If you are using white or light colored tile in the shower or bath area, when using clear glass, the tile will appear to have a greenish hue when looking through the glass.  In this case most people choose low iron glass.  See the pictures below to see the difference.

Do you offer an easy clean coating on the glass?

Glass is porous, which can result in minerals in the water adhering to glass.  When ClearFushion Pro® is applied to the glass prior to installation, it can reduce the amount of water staining on the glass, cut down on the maintenance time cleaning the glass and minimize soap scum build-up.  This product helps maintain the beauty of the glass.

You will need to squeegee the glass and clean the glass regularly.  You cannot use harsh chemicals on the glass or you will compromise the coating.  Glass Contractors, LLC warranty's the coating to the homeowner that purchased the glass for up to 5 years as long as the glass is maintained as stated above.   If you want ClearFushion Pro
® applied to your glass be sure to let the sales person that quoted your bath enclosure know.
